Indie WMM elects 'Guyana' docu

Nonprofit indie film banner Women Make Movies has picked up domestic rights to Suzanne Wasserman's documentary "Thunder in Guyana" through its Women Make Movies' Distribution Service banner. The film is screening as part of the Independents Night Documentary Series through the Film Society of Lincoln Center and IFP/New York. The film tells the story of Janet Rosenberg Jagan, Guyana's first and only female president and the only American-born woman to have been elected president of another nation.
